Social Activities

At the AICPA we know that choosing where to study is not solely about where you might find the most challenging and inspiring academic environment, but also where you are going to get the opportunity to make the most out of your time outside of the classroom, too. Whilst the AICPA guarantees students a course that is going to be stimulating and enriching, we also have an extensive program of social activities designed to give you the best out of your time in this incredible city.

Lectures & Discussions
A range of lectures will be held by experts from the fields of politics, economics, diplomacy, academia, civil society, and the private sector. These components will inform the students about key perspectives related to the themes of their studies. Each lecture will be followed by a question and answer session with the speaker.

Workshops & Role play
Each semester will include interactive workshops that offer students the opportunity to take part in structured discussions on subjects related to the Semester themes. Workshops provide a valuable counterbalance to lectures by providing an opportunity for participants to express their own opinions and learn from each other.

Round Table Discussions & Debates
These discussions offer a more intimate setting for speakers and students to converse and debate openly. They also allow the participants to interact more directly with the speakers and their fellow participants in a more neutral, equal, and interactive manner. Not only are students able to pose questions to the speakers in these discussions, but the speakers may also pose questions to the participants, all while enjoying a more comfortable, informal, and interactive setting.

Student Leadership Initiatives
Leadership initiatives are cultural exchange initiatives organized by the students with the support of the AICPA. These initiatives are the foundation of the AICPA 's work, because they allow the principles of cultural diplomacy to be spread beyond. At the beginning of the semester students will be given guidance on how to plan, develop, and execute leadership initiatives that have a constructive, sustainable influence on intercultural relations. The students will then have the opportunity to present their projects to the group at the end of the semester.

Life at the AICPA extends to both on and off campus and we are always trying to add to our social program to ensure students are not just benefitting from their time at the AICPAM from an academic perspective, but from a social and cultural perspective too.

Alumni
This page gives details on the Alumni Association within AICPA. The AICPA Alumni Association is an excellent resource which brings together former and current students into one unique network so they can share experiences, ideas and information.

Alumni Association
The Alumni Association is important as it creates the opportunity for students and former students to have an input in the future of the Academy by making suggestions of where improvements can be made, and a chance to propose various internship exchange programs so that students can develop their future career prospects. The Executive Board (comprised of former AICPA students) and AICPA Advisory Board oversees the organization of the Alumni Association and provides a strong support system for new students on their arrival and pre-arrival.

The Alumni Association also has a strong presence within social media outlets, such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, to create a platform for interaction between the current students and alumni. In this way, alumni can share their experiences, offer advice on how to make the most out of one's placement in the AICPA and keep in contact with the AICPA and the AICPA itself.

Your time with the AICPA does not just stop when you graduate, the AICPA strives to be there for you even when you have finished your studies and are pursuing your career. We make it a priority to maintain a close relationship with former students and endeavor to assist them in any way possible, whilst welcoming any feedback which could aid the AICPA, and its students, to reach their full potential.

Accommodation
In order to reduce the financial and logistical burden for its students, AICPA and its institutional partners are providing subsidized accommodation for the students of our BA, MA, MBA and PhD programs in our campuses of their studies.
